Clark Public Utilities - Community Solar

 Funded by participating customers, Clark Public Utilities built this Community Solar project in 2015. Community Solar is a different model for solar energy. Instead of putting a solar array on an individual home, community projects bring together a group of participants to build a larger array. More than 700 utility customers own a piece of this solar array and receive state incentives and utility generation credits based on the amount of solar power produced. These five separately metered systems generate enough solar energy to power about 30 homes each year.
