The Solar 4R Schools program had a great and busy year in 2009. We'd like to thank all the teachers, students and funding partners who helped make it possible, and take a moment to look back before we look forward to 2010. Here's a short video we put together that shows where we've been. Enjoy!

Champlain Valley Union High School in Vermont celebrated renewable energy and their new 1 kW solar array on Nov 12.

After a busy spring and summer here at Solar 4R Schools headquarters, we're excited to introduce the new solar4rschools.org web site! As you can see we have completely redesigned the site.

Besides making it look better, we have added a host of new features that make it easier modify your school's page as well as give teachers and students more tools for teaching and learning about renewable energy.

For instance, Teacher Champions now have access to the popular activity guides online and can share tips on teaching about renewable energy in the all new Teacher's Lounge. Teacher Champions can also add photos, videos and edit text on their own school's page using the handy menu on the right side of their page!

This is only the beginning, however. Throughout the school year we'll continue to enhance the site and add functionality, so stay tuned to this blog, or check out our twitter and facebook pages for updates.
