State of Washington Funded predominantly by a grant from the Washington state Office of Financial Management. Washington State School for the Blind was one of the two projects selected for the 2007-2008 biennium. A key element in gaining this grant was the role the solar array would play in the schools science curriculum. With the addition of the kiosk, and the in-process development of text to speech computer program, the students will be able to check solar electrical production and how it relates to the current weather conditions.
Washington State School for the Blind Additional funding was provided by WSSB.
