This week, Del Pueblo School generated Kilowatt-hours of electricity.From fossil-fueled sources, this amount of electricity would have emitted lbs of CO2 into the atmosphere.

The 1.1 kW solar-electric system installed at Del Pueblo Elementary School was donated to the school as part of the 2006 Legacy Adopt-A-School project and provides a teaching, research and hands-on demonstration opportunity for students. The project was the result of a collaborative effort between BEF and the American Solar Energy Society (ASES). The system is supplemented by a curriculum package, as well as a web-based monitoring system that provides real-time access to the system's performance data from any internet-enabled computer.
