Merrill Middle School is one of five schools nationally that is installing a solar panel array as a result of a Wells Fargo donation to the Solar 4R Schools program. The 1.1-kilowatt solar-electric project is designed to generate electricity and introduce students to renewable energy technology. As a participant in the Solar 4R Schools program, Merrill Middle School students and teachers have committed to undertaking a variety of educational endeavors, including incorporating the Solar 4R Schools classroom exercises into the existing curriculum at the school.
