As the only solar powered junior high school in the immediate Lake Washington School District, Evergreen Junior High School is a role model for neighboring schools of its kind, and it strives to preserve its high environmental standards. When this solar array was installed in 2008, it was the largest solar installation of any school in the state of Washington. By implementing this project, students and the surrounding community are being educated in the importance of resource conservation, and the way to use renewable resources in our buildings
