The actual installation of the solar system, a relatively simple process, is only one part of undertaking a project. There are other steps that are necessary to make the project feasible, educationally meaningful and ultimately successful. Below are some program documents that more specifically lay out these steps and detail the host facility's role. There are also a few examples of other important Solar 4R Schools documents.

Solar Supporters Petition

This is the non-binding agreement we ask parties at the school to sign to show their understanding of and support for the project.

Host Contract Example

This is a template document for the binding contract we ask schools to sign, primarily signifying that the school agrees to assume ownership and responsibility for the system.

Letter for Transfer of System Ownership

This is an example of the letter that BEF sends schools to make the transfer of ownership from BEF to the school official.
