Schools & Projects in Idaho
More than 200 schools and counting!
Solar 4R Schools has installed solar panels across the country, from elementary schools to colleges, and at museums, libraries, and other educational hub facilities through our Renewable Schools program.
New projects sites receive 5-10 years of live energy data monitoring - and sometimes weather stations. You can browse the projects through the list, the map, or the gallery of pictures. You can tell what school has what by looking at the icons on the left in the list below.
In addition, new schools join our Renewable Classroom program all the time—that means they don’t have their own solar PV arrays, but they receive classroom science kits with renewable energy activities and they use the power data on this site to learn more about renewable energy.
For most Renewable School and Renewable Classroom Plus locations you will find live data from each array on this website. Some schools have wind turbines as well and other interesting information like how much energy their building uses in relation to how much their solar panels generate and how sunny or hot the day was at their location.
Since live data is dependent upon host schools' network infrastructure data can temporarily go offline, just check back later. If you are at a school whose data has been offline for more than a day or two you can send us an email here.
