In October 2011, Adams Elementary School installed a 6.44 kW through a grant from Eugene Water & Electric Board, which was awarded based on a vote of the utility's Greenpower customers. BEF has provided data monitoring, a kiosk, educational materials and teacher training. The installation of this system makes Adams the first school in the Eugene 4J School District to have a renewable energy system.
