In 20011 Snohomish County PUD and Bonneville Environmental Foundation helped to install a 2.34kW solar demonstration project in front of Snowqualmie Hall at the Edmonds Community College campus in Lynwood, WA. This PV system is installed as an outdoor covered picnic shelter... although the school may find many uses for the structure. The shelter is built by Sun Storage of Enterprise, OR. The PV modules are transparent modules designed and developed by Sanyo's Salem, OR facility. The installers were A&R Solar of Everett, WA. EDCC's Teacher Champion, Randy Sibley, will also be using grant funds to purchase off-grid PV education systems for renewable energy education. Please check back here in the future for photos of the students at work.
