H.B. Lee Middle School is the 10th project in BEF's Solar 4R Schools program, and one of four metro area schools to receive solar electric panels during the first quarter of 2005. The solar system will be instrumental to the success of the school's Energy Club, through which students and teachers will raise awareness of renewable and alternative resources. Students will also report on the PV system's function in the monthly school newspaper, and hope to educate the community through an annual solar panel car competition.
