After installing a 10 kW wind turbine in 2003, Maple Hill Farm Inn and Conference Center went solar in a big way at the end of 2006 with the installation of a large solar electric and solar hot water array, the largest in Maine at the time. An educational display board is mounted just outside the conference room so guests can learn more about the solar and wind systems in great detail.
Maple Hill Farm was named “Best Bed and Breakfast” in the Augusta, Maine area for 2007 by Market Surveys of America, and is certified as an "Environmental Leader" lodging establishment by the Maine Dept. of Environmental Protection.
