The Mukilteo City Hall is a brand new 18,000 square foot facility that is slated to qualify for LEED Gold certification. The energy efficient features and environmental aspects of the building are numerous and therefore the solar installation will provide a meaningful contribution to the electricity load. The building is open to the public and is regularly visited by the public, contractors, consultants and other government personnel. The building has a south facing standing seam roof with near 100% solar access. In September, the city installed a 2.72 kilowatt system on the roof and will install an information kiosk which can be utilized to display the live solar data.
