Ola School’s solar project reflects the school’s commitment to educate students, parents and community members about sustainable sources of power. Under full sun conditions, the 1.1 kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) installation could light more than 65 compact fluorescent light bulbs. With its interactive display and supporting classroom curriculum, the project provides a means to learn about energy production and conservation using real-time data. The visibility of the PV system at Ola has encouraged interest from students, teachers and members of the small community.
