Ola School’s solar project reflects the school’s commitment to educate students, parents and community members about sustainable sources of power. Under full sun conditions, the 1.1 kW solar panel installation could light more than 65 compact fluorescent light bulbs. With its interactive display and supporting classroom curriculum, the project provides a means to learn about energy production and conservation using real-time data. The visibility of the solar panels at Ola has encouraged comments and questions from students, teachers and members of the small community.
