  • Renewable Synergy
Today, Park City High School generated 3 Kilowatt-hours of electricity. From fossil-fueled sources, this amount of electricity would have emitted 5 lbs of CO2 into the atmosphere.

This could power:

  • An electric toothbrush for 13 weeks
  • A 42" plasma-screen television for 6 hours
  • A typical video game system for 6 days

Park City High School’s solar project reflects the school’s commitment to educate students, parents and community members about sustainable sources of power. The solar panel installation produces energy and, with its interactive display and supporting classroom activities, provides a means to learn about energy production and conservation using real-time data.
Under full sun conditions, the 1.1 kW photovoltaic (PV) system could light more than 70 compact fluorescent light bulbs. Over a year, it will produce more than 1,000 kilowatt-hours of clean, renewable energy.
