Live Solar Electric Generation

The City of Puyallup recognizes the importance of its leadership role in environmental stewardship in the community. Through strong partnerships local communities are having a positive influence on global issues. In partnership with the United States Department of Energy, the City of Puyallup has completed another project that promotes sustainability. The City of Puyallup also leads through its own example and encourages energy conservation, proper recycling practices, pollution control and water / waste reduction conservation practices.

The Department of Energy provided funds through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program as part of the President’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  The Recovery Act is an effort to jumpstart our economy, create or save jobs and address the nation’s energy and environmental challenges.

Thanks!

Through strong partnerships, local communities are having a position of influence on global issues.

The City of Puyallup would like to thank the U.S. Dept. of Energy under the American Recover and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the grant that funded this project. By choosing non-polluting, renewable energy and protecting important natural resources, we are making a difference in the health of our community and environment, now and for generations to come.
