Bonneville Environmental Foundation provided educational materials and project management services for this project through its Solar 4R Schools program. BEF, a non-profit organization, was established in 1998 to restore watershed ecosystems and further the development and use of renewable energy resources. Through revenues generated from the sales of green power products, BEF funds and manages projects that restore damaged watersheds and support new renewable energy.
The North Face a division of VF Outdoor, Inc., was founded in 1968. Headquartered in Alameda, Calif., the company offers the most technically advanced products in the market to accomplished climbers, mountaineers, snowsport athletes, endurance athletes, and explorers. The company’s products are sold in specialty mountaineering, backpacking, running, and snowsport retailers, premium-sporting goods retailers and major outdoor specialty retail chains.
Through strong partnerships, local communities are having a position of influence on global issues.
