At Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), we believe addressing the planet’s most pressing environmental challenges requires innovation, creative problem solving and discovering a new way of doing business that values the natural resources we depend on. We also believe education plays a critical role in securing a clean energy, low-carbon future. Our nationally renowned Solar 4R Schools program is inspiring a new generation of clean energy leaders with the insight and innovative thinking necessary to solve the nation’s most pressing energy challenges. To get there, we’re transforming solar technology into a complete STEM classroom learning experience. With the help of our corporate, nonprofit and utility funding partners, our vision is to integrate engaging renewable energy education into every science classroom in the nation. Born in the French Alps in 1907, Rossignol has built innovative technical winter equipment for more than 100 years. They are even more obsessed about the performance of all our products today. The mountains in which they live and work inspire them to create new technologies, new experiences. The mountains challenge them to improve their products and share new concepts. They share the same love that their customers do for skiing, whether in the resort, the backcountry, the groomers, the trees, the park or the powder. By working closely with athletes and their R&D department they are able to build an incredible ski experience into every product they make. Their goal is that their products fulfill their customers' every skiing desire.

Protect Our Winters (POW) is a tax exempt, nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the global warming crisis by uniting the winter sports community and focusing their collective efforts towards a common goal. Climate change is a serious issue for all of us who are passionate about winter sports and in some cases, it's how we make our living. POW believes that if we harness our collective energy and put forth a focused effort, we can have a direct influence on reversing the damage that's been done and ensure that winters are here for generations behind us.

Thanks!

Through strong partnerships, local communities are having a position of influence on global issues.

Champlain Valley Union High School would like to thank Rossignol and Protect Our Winters (POW) for funding this project and Bonneville Environmental Foundation for providing project management and educational materials. By choosing non-polluting, renewable energy and protecting important natural resources, we are making a difference in the health of our community and environment, now and for generations to come. It is our hope that this project will inspire students to pursue careers and make decisions that make our world a better place.
