Puget Sound Renewable Educator Leadership Institute. We are looking for elementary, middle, and high school teacher leaders in the Puget Sound with a passion for CTE/STEM and are interested in expanding renewable energy content and activities in their District. The 5‑day summer leadership institute includes: a deeper dive into renewable energy topics, collaboration with peer leaders and energy experts, design durable science kits to bring back to home districts, prepare leadership plans for expanding access to new materials and content in home districts, and a tour of a local hydropower facility! Pacific Northwest Renewable Energy Leadership Lab
We invite interested Pacific Northwest K-12 teachers to submit applications to participate in the Renewable Energy Leadership Lab. The Leadership Lab is a year‑long professional development and curriculum design opportunity where teachers create innovative, hands‑on, inquiry‑based renewable energy lessons for the classroom in a peer-supported environment alongside content experts. Participating teachers will work in a group of educators who collaborate throughout the year to design, test and implement exciting new units of lessons in their classrooms while diving deeper into the science of renewable energy. Idaho Power Area Schools
Through contributions to its Green Power Program, Idaho Power awards up to two Renewable School projects per year to schools located within its service area. Thanks to Idaho Power Company’s Green Power Program participants for supporting the Solar 4R Schools program. The Renewable School offering and include teacher training, science kit materials and the installation of a small-scale demonstration photovoltaic (PV) system at your school with data monitoring. Typical photovoltaic systems installed have ranged from 1 to 4 KW, depending on local cost variables. Although applicant match is not required, it can be used to increase the system size beyond the awarded size. Learn more >>
