Evergreen has been engaged in a variety of campus sustainability initiatives for many years, including recycling, composting, reusing, landscaping with native plants, and working to restore natural areas on campus. This solar demonstration project allows us to add our first renewable energy component to our environmental efforts. Our 9.66 kW photovoltaic (PV) system will visibly demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, allow us to expand the topic of renewable energy in our curriculum, and create a real-world learning opportunities for our students.
