Coupeville is a community that continually demonstrates its commitment to sustainable living and received a 1.84 kW system in December 2009.
The Solar 4R Schools curriculum and hardware will complement and augment curriculum already in place at the middle and high school regarding energy, conservation , and renewable technology. Coupeville School facilities are the main community center for Coupeville and Island County events, hosting thousands of people from over 60 different organizations and educational events each year. This provides
an ideal opportunity to educate both the students and broader community on renewable energy technologies.
